Angove Partners is partnering with an award-winning insurance company, seeking a W&I Claims Analyst in London. This is an exciting opportunity for law graduates with experience/interest in M&A who are looking to build their career within M&A/Transactional Risk Insurance.

What is the role?

As a member of the claims team on W&I insurance deals, the M&A Analyst will handle a variety of workstreams in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. The role will be very hands-on and provide in-depth exposure to M&A and corporate transactions.

What will you be doing?

  • Analysing M&A documents, including financial statements and purchase agreements
  • Analyse coverage: Compare the claim against the policy wording to assess whether it falls within scope (and what exclusions might apply)
  • Manage the claims process: Track timelines, information requests, and overall progress of each claim
  • Support strategy on claims: Help decide how to respond—whether to defend, negotiate, or settle
  • Assisting with drafting insurance quotes, binders, and policies
  • Coordinate with stakeholders: Liaise with insurers, brokers, clients, and external lawyers
  • Assist with negotiations: Be involved in discussions around settlement amounts or coverage disputes
  • Handle incoming claims: Review notifications from clients alleging breaches (e.g. warranty breaches or tax issues) under insured policies
  • Attending industry events, networking opportunities and team outings
