- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of ANGLO teenage students
- Work closely with colleagues in the teaching team to deliver the ANGLO experience
- Embrace the communicative approach to language teaching and create an engaging, inclusive learning environment in language lessons, excursion lessons and project lessons.
- Ensure that the Teaching Manager is informed as required
- Exploit every opportunity for students to learn English both inside and outside the classroom
- Create a positive learning environment which is well-organised and supports the introduction of British culture as part of the curriculum
- Provide students with adequate feedback on their work
- Accurately complete the students’ academic reports
- Follow ANGLO’s safeguarding and welfare policies at all times
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times
Requirements
Essential
- You have the right to work in the UK
- University degree + TEFLI qualification or equivalent experience (e.g.: CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, PGCE, 120 hour TEFL course)
- Native or near-native English fluency
- Dynamic teaching approach
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team player attitude
- Commitment to high-quality customer service, displaying a positive “can-do” attitude
- Ability to work under pressure, strong work ethic and ability to implement change
- Committed to continuing professional development
Desirable
- Prior experience of teaching U18s
- Young Learners teaching qualification
- Summer school experience
- Experience of project-based courses and/or task-based learning
- Experience of Trinity GESE exams
