Overview: The UK operations are based at Summerfield, Kidderminster, where we have a permanent vacancy for a Reliability Engineer. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Reliability Engineer will coordinate Reliability Centred Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques. The role offers the opportunity to achieve consistent plant performance through the application of reliability best practices. The role supports operations by identifying and reviewing failures, downtime and lost production to identify opportunities to improve reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analysis, quality tests and inspections to determine the criticality and reliability of assets.
- Contribute to the planning department for ongoing maintenance and reliability related projects.
- Collaborate with production/maintenance staff to coordinate repair work, safety inspections and supply new plant equipment with production schedules.
- Troubleshoot equipment and implement corrective actions.
- Able to work safely and embed a strong safety culture at all times.
- Take on challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm.
- Plan and prioritize work to meet maintenance commitments aligned with the site and organisational goals.
- Act as a problem solving go-to to assist existing maintenance team with reactive maintenance.
Qualifications:
- HNC or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification, a modern apprenticeship would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Previous proven experience in a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrically biased) role.
- Experience with condition based monitoring technique.
- Experience working with maintenance KPI's in a Computerised Maintenance Management System.
- Experience fault finding and programming PLC's is desirable – Siemens and Allen Bradley would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques (Kaizen, Lean 6 Sigma, RCA) – A Green or Black Belt would be desirable.
- Computer literate including an intermediate level of Excel as a minimum.
