About the role
This exciting new role is being established to support the Health Sciences University as it moves towards the implementation of the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE), which from 2027 will provide financial support for all new students accessing Higher Education.
This post is crucial leading the implementation on the LLE system, ensuring mew students can both apply for LLE student finance and receive their entitlements on a timely manner. The duties of the post holder will also ensure that the university receives its student fee income from LLE loans in a timely manner, which is crucial to our financial sustainability.
The role will involve close working with other colleagues in the department, the finance team and other service areas, as well as with academic teams, and externally with the Student Loans Company (SLC). The post holder will have the opportunity to influence the development and implementation of LLE process as well as aligned functionality within the university's student record system Quercus.
About the person
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have a high level of experience and knowledge of UK Higher Education systems within an Academic Registry environment, with a particular focus on Student Finance matters. Committed to providing an excellent and friendly service for students and HSU colleagues, the appointed individual will be able to demonstrate excellent IT-skills (e.g. Microsoft) as well as experience in working with HE student systems. We are looking for an individual that can demonstrate an excellent attention to detail, has strong communication skills and can work both individually as part of various teams.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum & Nationality Act 2006.
