The key to the successful delivery of Anglo American’s Ambition and Purpose is the need to drive a performance and reward philosophy, and supporting structures, policies and processes, that optimise performance at a business, team and individual level. Balancing a local presence with centralised support, the Performance & Reward team sets strategic direction and frameworks for performance leadership and reward, manages relevant internal and external reporting and supports the Board on executive nomination and remuneration.

Purpose

To provide coordination support and expertise for a broad range of global mobility programme practices, processes and systems, as well as provide specific project support for delivery of activities related to upcoming Company merger.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with internal Global Mobility team to support the delivery of key operational activities and processes (e.g. monthly, quarterly, annual lifecycle processes).
  • Work with internal stakeholders (e.g. wider Reward teams, Talent Management, Finance, Tax, Legal, HR, Payroll, GSS) and external compliance partners to support the delivery of key activities.
  • Ongoing support for the management and maintenance of Group Global Mobility policies and associated processes.
  • Support the management of external vendor relationships and performance (e.g. global immigration, global relocation, expat data, international medical).
  • Support the delivery of key Global Mobility projects including broad support for upcoming Company-merger related activities such as relocation/operational readiness, stakeholder presentations & communications, global mobility lifecycle redesign activities.
  • Support the delivery of cross-border compliance activities, e.g. Short-Term Business Visitor (STBV) data collection and reporting activities, immigration compliance activities.

Technical Knowledge

  • Best practice global mobility knowledge.
  • SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Project) with advanced Excel and PowerPoint desirable.
  • Global Mobility in large complex multinational organisations.
  • End-to-end global mobility processes and policy.
  • Tax and immigration as applicable to globally mobile population.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient at reviewing and advising on global mobility and processes.
  • Working knowledge of global immigration law/requirements as related to key Anglo American locations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and use initiative.
  • Advanced analytical and numeric skills.
  • Proven ability to work responsibly and proactively under own initiative.
  • Advanced organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Accurately work with multiple assignments relating to various globally mobile employees and situations at the same time.
  • Advanced problem analysis and the ability to describe solutions to both HR and line management, articulating the key issues.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and in person with meticulous attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong understanding of global mobility compensation structures and compliance considerations for globally mobile employees.
