The Purpose

The Social Media Executive supports day-to-day execution of De Beers London’s Global social media activity, helping to bring the Maison’s stories, campaigns and collections to life across digital platforms. Reporting to the Global PR & Communications Manager and working closely with cross-functional partners, this role contributes to delivering engaging, elevated, culturally relevant and insight-led content, while ensuring consistency across the Maison’s global social channels. Main Responsibilities

  • Social Media Planning & Execution: Support the execution of the global social media strategy across all relevant platforms and in line with brand, PR and commercial priorities. Manage day-to-day publishing and scheduling across all social platforms (e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and emerging platforms) and ensure consistent publishing cadence. Maintain the global content calendar in collaboration with PR, Image, Marketing and regional teams. Ensure content is published accurately and on time.
  • Content Creation & Storytelling: Create engaging social content, captions and copy tailored to each platform. Translate campaigns, PR moments (press coverage, events, celebrity dressing, influencer activations) and corporate news into compelling social storytelling. Support the development and rollout of creative assets and content ideas for both always-on and campaign activity. Work closely with internal teams and external partners (creatives, agencies) to produce best-in-class content. Ensure all content reflects the Maison’s tone of voice, visual identity and luxury positioning. Identify opportunities to repurpose existing assets into engaging social content.
  • Community Management & Social Listening: Manage day-to-day community engagement across social platforms in a timely, professional and brand-appropriate manner. Monitor conversations and social interactions, identifying and escalating any reputational risks or sensitive issues where appropriate. Support the identification of relevant creators, conversations and cultural moments that could inform future content and opportunities. Stay up to date with platform updates, emerging formats and social media best practices.
  • Performance Analytics & Insights: Monitor social media performance, tracking key metrics including reach, engagement, growth and conversion indicators. Produce regular reporting with clear insights. Share recommendations based on performance and audience behaviour. Monitor competitors and emerging best practices in luxury and digital.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with PR, Marketing, and regional teams to support integrated storytelling across all channels. Coordinate with external agencies and creative partners where required. Support the alignment of social media activity with global campaigns and local market activation. Contribute to the development of social media toolkit and content guidelines for markets.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media management within a luxury, fashion or lifestyle environment.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, emerging trends and analytics tools.
  • Possess a strong creative eye with understanding of visual excellence, brand storytelling and luxury positioning.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with a refined tone.
  • Highly-organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Adaptable, collaborative and happy to support projects beyond your immediate responsibilities when needed.
  • Naturally curious, with a genuine interest in digital culture, emerging social behaviours and creative storytelling.
