Make a difference while working in retail. We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our community retail team. This role is more than retail — it’s about creating a welcoming space where every customer feels respected, supported, and valued, while helping our shop operate smoothly and sustainably. As a Shop Assistant based in Kograh & Engadine Op Shops, this role is casual part-time hours and you’ll support the day-to-day running of our Op shops, work closely with staff and volunteers, and help deliver a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, respectful, and professional customer service to all customers and visitors.
- Assist with stock handling, pricing, visual merchandising, and maintaining store presentation.
- Support day-to-day shop operations including cash handling, cleanliness, and safe work practices.
- Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to create a positive team environment.
- Help ensure the shop is a welcoming and inclusive space for people from all backgrounds.
About You
