Within the Anglian Water @one Alliance, we are a collaborative organisation made up of our eight partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, working together to deliver over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme.
We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP 8, which will see us deliver a programme of work larger than ever before. As we move into this period for the Water industry, it is essential our commercial and cost management processes and practices remain industryâleading to ensure we not only deliver but outperform against our objectives and customer expectations.
What will you be doing as our new Project Delivery Manager?
- You will manage a team and oversee the development of solutions to ensure multiple projects are completed on time, to quality, water, and safety standards whilst in line with legislation, Alliance governance and processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Assure CDM compliance through the TOTEX Delivery Process and a series of audits, checks and peer reviews to champion a 'ZeroâHarm' culture.
- Create and maintain a highâperforming team culture with a range of reports from Engineers to Commercial staff, empowering and encouraging creative problemâsolving.
- Translate programmeâlevel strategy into actual outcomes so team members are utilized correctly and fully understand their role in achieving success.
- Be accountable for the full project lifecycle from receipt of need through scoping, construction, project handover, formal signâoff and managing any warranty issues that arise postâhandover.
- Work closely with Commercial and Planning teams to ensure cost and resource forecasts are maintained to required levels of accuracy; mitigate issues or escalate as needed.
- Oversee the teams' proposed solutions to ensure they are safe, commercially viable and meet project requirements while being fit for purpose.
- Ensure each project meets required deliverables, key milestones such as Project Rehearsal and Fit for Assembly.
- Create an open, approachable, and visible team environment that promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing across the @one alliance and beyond.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours:
- Recent experience in the Water industry with excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, drinking water standards and CDM regulations, complemented by an IOSH qualification.
- Experience managing multiple projects and ideally holding an APMP qualification; comfortable professionally challenging stakeholders through strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Knowledge of NEC Option C contracts and ability to make decisions quickly for the best of the business within a commercial framework.
- Track record of successfully managing teams in a performanceâdriven environment, with the ability to step away from detail and work strategically, delegating tasks while delegating trust and support.
