Starting salary (plus standby & overtime): £39,520 for candidates with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject) and £35,360 for candidates with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject). Clear progression opportunities to earn up to £47,840 with further training and experience.
All PPE, tools, and fuel card provided. Permanent Full-time, with flexibility for part-time, 37 hours, 5-day working pattern including some weekends.
Location: Covering Letchworth, Royston, Biggleswade and surrounding areas.

Get ready to make a difference and join us as a maintenance technician, responsible for carrying out general repairs, investigating and rectifying faults and completing scheduled maintenance to ensure the reliability of our assets. This role is not just about doing a job, it has a real purpose; it's about protecting our environment. With support from a collaborative team, your mechanical knowledge will enable you to be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of water recycling assets - including equipment installed at water treatment works, as well as carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our mechanical assets.
Experience working with mechanical control systems, telemetry systems, pumps, gearboxes and general mechanical/electrical plant maintenance would also be advantageous. This role is vital and will have a direct impact on the environment and communities that we serve.
What does it take to be a Wastewater Maintenance Technician? To be successful in this role, you must have obtained an NVQ level 2 or 3 (mechanical/engineering) qualification (or equivalent), carry the relevant work experience, and/or completed a relevant apprenticeship and hold a full UK driving licence.
