What does it take to be a WR Operations Manager?
- Transport Manager CPC – UK Road Haulage Operations (National)
- Significant experience in UK road transport operations
- Experience of tanker operations, including sewage sludge & biosolids collection & haulage (advantage)
- Experience in vehicle performance analysis and compilation of performance reports for senior management
- Proficient IT skills – MS Word, MS Excel
- Proven leadership skills, able to demonstrate, challenge and question performance results
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities and actively seek creative solutions
- Health & Safety qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH)
- Full manual driving licence essential
Key duties will include:
- Demonstrate visible safety leadership; encourage engagement and open, two‑way conversations through active management app
- Liaise with the WR Planning Manager regarding vehicle/driver/operator weekly performance monitoring
- Manage compliance with Operator’s Licence training, development and understanding of the operational team; ensure compliance and performance management
- Ensure operations are carried out effectively, efficiently and safely to meet customer service and regulatory standards
- Work across the organisation to ensure compliance with pollution, water quality etc. and drive compliance across process areas
- Collaborate across the business unit and wider organisation to help achieve business goals and priorities
