Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services (IMRDS) is part of our Embedded Alliance team at Anglian Water, working closely with other organisations to maintain our water supply systems, manage emergencies like water bursts, and create innovative solutions to better serve our customers. What Will You Be Doing as the Safety Lead?

As the Safety Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing the HSE function within the Main Laying delivery route. Your responsibility will be to develop and implement the HSE strategy, ensuring that safety, health, and environmental standards are adhered to across the IMRDS framework. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders from Directors to delivery partners, promoting a high standard of safety and continuous improvement across the alliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the Main Laying HSE strategy
  • Actively promote safety, health, wellbeing, and environmental topics across teams
  • Lead and manage the Main Laying HSE team on a day-to-day basis
  • Support operational teams in fulfilling their HSE responsibilities
  • Ensure operational compliance with HSE procedures
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and accident investigations
  • Report on HSE performance to stakeholders
  • Implement cultural changes to improve safety standards
  • Provide advice on HSE training and development
