Salary: Circa £35,000 depending on skills and experience

Permanent: Full Time, 37 hours per week (With flexibility for Part-Time)

Location: Flexible across the Anglian Water Region, must have ability to travel to Peterborough and Huntingdon.

Water storage points are critical infrastructure components in our water supply network. We currently have over 800 water storage points across the region that need to be cleaned, maintained and returned to service regularly to ensure regulatory compliance and that we are providing safe, clean drinking water to our customers. These points store large amounts of water that are called upon when there is high demand, which is normally during summer months.

What you will be doing?

Reporting directly to the Programme Manager you will be supporting the successful delivery of the Storage Points programme through robust data analysis, performance reporting, risk tracking, and planning support. This role will contribute to the efficient coordination and continuous improvement of programme delivery by maintaining visibility of schedule, cost, and risk across multiple stakeholders.

Key tasks include:

  • Maintain and update programme dashboards and trackers
  • Collate, analyse, and interpret data from multiple sources to inform decision‑making
  • Produce performance packs and reporting outputs for internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with Delivery and Performance teams to ensure accurate programme planning
  • Support the update and interrogation of schedules and delivery plans
  • Help identify planning risks, delays, and dependencies across the programme
  • Support the preparation and follow‑up of programme meetings
  • Maintain documentation, action logs, and stakeholder records

What does it take to be a Programme Analyst?

  • Experience supporting large programmes or projects
  • Understanding of project scheduling and risk management
  • Proficient in MS Excel and reporting software (e.g. Power BI)
  • Knowledge of the water industry or regulated environments
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with a high attention to detail
