Help put sustainability at the heart of our Reservoirs Programme. Anglian Water is delivering an ambitious Reservoirs Programme, and sustainability, education and community engagement will be fundamental to its success.

We are looking for an organised, curious and collaborative Sustainability Project Coordinator to help turn our sustainability ambitions into well-managed, measurable activity. Working across the Reservoirs Programme, you will provide project coordination and organisational support, help deliver education and engagement activity, and bring colleagues together around our Sustainability Strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys creating structure, building relationships and making sure important projects keep moving. You will work with colleagues across sustainability, education and the wider programme, as well as engaging with external stakeholders including schools and community groups.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the smooth delivery of sustainability projects across the Reservoirs Programme by preparing project plans and supporting documents to monitor progress and keep delivery on track.
  • Coordinating meetings, including diaries, attendees, agendas, papers, minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Working with internal colleagues and external partners to track actions and maintain momentum.
  • Helping to collate data and information for key environmental, social and governance disclosures.
  • Planning workshops and other events that bring stakeholders together.
  • Managing incoming communications and making sure enquiries reach the right people.
  • Supporting the delivery of Anglian Water's Sustainability Strategy.
  • Working alongside the Community Education & Skills Lead to prepare project plans and capture programme outcomes.
  • Representing Anglian Water at educational events, which may occasionally involve evening or weekend work.

What does it take to be successful?

  • Proven experience of providing project coordination support in a similar role.
  • Confidence working with data and using information to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a diligent approach to processes and systems.
  • The ability to build effective relationships across different teams and business areas.
  • A curious and enquiring mindset, with a genuine interest in sustainability and education.
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Experience of the water industry, preparing project plans or writing clearly for internal and external audiences would be advantageous, but these are desirable rather than essential requirements.

Why join the Reservoirs Programme?

This is your opportunity to contribute to a major programme with sustainability, education and community relationships built into its delivery. You will have the chance to work across a broad network of specialists, help demonstrate the impact of sustainability and education initiatives, and create the connections that turn strategy into practical action. Your organisation, insight and ability to bring people together will help make sure sustainability remains visible throughout the programme.

As a valued employee, you'll be entitled to:

  • Personal private health care
  • Life assurance (up to 8 x salary)
  • Personal accident cover (up to 5 x salary)
  • Double-matched pension (maximum 7% employee/14% employer contribution)
  • 25 days annual leave - rising with length of service and the ability to buy more
  • Excellent family friendly policies, such as 26 weeks full pay for maternity/adoption leave, as well as 4 weeks paid paternity/partner leave. Opportunity for shared parental pay
  • Bonus scheme
  • Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.
