Do you have experience of working in the activity sector? Are you commercially focused and have previous experience of running watersports and outdoor activities? This is an exciting time to join our team as we look forward to another exciting season at Rutland.
The Activities Manager will be responsible for the coordination and management of the Watersports Centre, Lifeguarding, Swimming, Environmental Activity and Bushcraft Activities. You will also support the wider park teams with added value events (Halloween Trails, Pond Dipping Days etc). We are looking for a creative and driven individual to help us build our activity business and bring new activity to our Park.
As a member of the parks management team, you'll put the customer and safety first and will be a key support to operational rotas at peak times. As Rutland Water is operational 7 days a week, 52 weeks per year (excluding Christmas Day), you will need to be flexible to work across peak seasons, major events within the calendar and step in to help across the park where needed.
AVH Parks is part of the Anglian Water Group (AWG), and managed 14 parks across the East of England and East Midlands, including Rutland, Grafham, Alton and Pitsford Water. We also provide fishery, estate and grounds maintenance services to third-party operators as a commercially focused leisure and land management business.

What does it take to be an Activities Manager?
- Demonstrable experience of working in the activity sector
- RYA Qualified
- Experience having previously run watersports and outdoor activities
- Proven customer service experience gained through a variety of roles across the activity sector
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in activity management
- Previous line management experience preferably gained across sizeable seasonal teams
- Commercially and service focussed
- Full Driving Licence (Essential for role)
