Join our team as a Café Cook at Rutland Water! Nestled in 4,200 acres of beautiful countryside, Rutland Water is the perfect place to work for those who love the outdoors. Our cafés are at the heart of it all.
As a Café Cook, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience for our visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing delicious meals, fresh snacks, and barista coffee.
- Keeping our cafés clean and inviting.
- Preparing fresh buffets for room hires.
- Delivering hearty early morning breakfasts and cooking fresh evening meals for fishing competitions.
As Rutland Water is operational 7 days a week, 52 weeks per year (excluding Christmas Day), you will need to be flexible to work across peak seasons and major events.
Your key duties will involve:
- Preparation of food and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintaining high levels of hygiene, food safety, and compliance.
- Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
- Driving efficiency and enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Supporting the Café Supervisor with leading and training the team.
- Proactive maintenance of a clean and safe environment.
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role.
- Great teamwork skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
