Playing a key part in our drive to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region we serve through our commitment to Love Every Drop is our Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance. Comprising of Anglian Water, MGroup, Barhale and Kier, the IOS Alliance work together to concentrate on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base. The IOS alliance works across multiple disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation. Incorporating new construction, replacement or repair. Spanning the entirety of Anglian Waters asset base.
To ensure water and water recycling projects are managed successfully from inception to completion, ensuring all required standards, regulations, commercial affordability targets and time frames are met, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join the team who will be prepared to travel within the East Anglia area.
What will you be doing as our new Assistant Project Manager?
You'll be responsible for working with and supporting the Project Delivery Manager. Coordinating with Project Engineers and Partner representatives to deliver projects and work parcels effectively from planning to operation. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the delivery of projects on time whilst embedding sustainability principles and with safety embedded at the heart. They will ensure project efficiency through Anglian Water's Totex Delivery Process and within Governance, complying with Project Management, H&S, Commercial, Risk and Value and DM deliverables processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, and on occasion deputise for, the Project Delivery Manager (PDM).
- Deliver assigned responsibilities in accordance with project phase plans.
- Identify and where appropriate manage risk and opportunities.
- Coordinate and manage contract requirements relating to design solutions, construction and commissioning.
- Coordinate stakeholder involvement in key decisions and provide high quality customer service and satisfaction.
- Champion excellence in Health and Safety - reporting concerns or observations during site visits.
- Drafting of progress reports and updates to inform Governance Boards of progress, issues, risks and opportunities.
Key Skills & Behaviours:
- Experience of delivering projects or coordinating complex tasks and activities to support planned outcomes.
- Working with others - establishing and sustaining effective relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Organised with strong attention to detail.
- Able to make decisions and escalate when needed.
- Strong communication skills - confident in communicating in writing and presenting.
- Driving Licence - essential.
- APM qualifications/fundamentals - desirable.
- Engineering Degree or experience - desirable.
- Prior Construction experience or CSCS card - desirable.
