Overview
£27,083 + use of company vehicle, with the potential to achieve more on target earnings
6 Month Fixed Term Contract
37 hours per week – Flexible hours between 6:30 and 20:00, including some hours on a Saturday when required to meet customer needs
Location: Flitwick/Ampthill/Bedford – You would need to be based within 30 minutes of these locations

What you’ll be doing
As our Meter Technician you will manage your own workload so will feel like you are your own boss with the support of a big organisation behind you. Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Obtain accurate readings from water meters
- Carry out meter exchanges – (Full training will be provided)
- Collect meter data
- Provide excellent customer service

What does it take to be successful?
Experience in retail or hospitality being on your feet would be great! As well as:
- Customer focussed individuals
- A professional image is very important – we will provide you with a uniform and van
- The role can be physically demanding as you will walk in the region of 3 to 8 miles per day
- You will also use a handheld computer to carry out your work, so basic IT skills are required
Hours
You are responsible for organising your own time and have the flexibility to plan your own day to meet the meter reading targets. Working a 37-hour week. Your hours are flexible between the working window of 6:30 to 20:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays; this includes early morning starts and late evenings until 8pm as this is when our customers are most likely to be at home.
