Starting salary: £38,000 for candidates with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject) and £34,000 for candidates with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject). Clear progression opportunities to earn up to £44,000 with further training and experience.
All PPE, tools, and fuel card provided. Permanent Full-time, with flexibility for part-time, 37 hours, 5-day working pattern including some weekends.
Location: Covering areas such as Isleham, Newmarket, Ely, Soham, and Mildenhall.

This team-oriented position will see you joining one of our Water Services Teams where you will ensure that the water supply process delivers wholesome drinking water to our customers. You will be responsible for keeping all kinds of equipment at our Water Treatment Works operating correctly and reliably, carrying out planned maintenance and responding promptly to issues and incidents.
Your mechanical knowledge will enable you to be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of water supply assets - including equipment installed at water treatment works, reservoirs, towers, and pumping stations. You will also carry out planned and reactive maintenance on our mechanical assets (e.g. pumps, screens, mixers, chemical dosing systems, etc.), and work on water quality instruments and control systems, carrying out servicing and calibrations. You will work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to manage and control multiple complex water treatment works.
To be successful in this role, you must have obtained an NVQ level 2 or 3 (mechanical/engineering) qualification (or equivalent) and/or completed a relevant apprenticeship and hold a full UK driving licence. A flexible approach to working hours is required as you will take part in a standby rota, and you will need to live within the surrounding/neighbouring areas.
