What you'll be doing
- Ensure new adoptable sewerage assets meet national Design Construction Guidance and Anglian Water standards
- Assess applications for sewer diversions to protect existing infrastructure
- Provide technical advice on drainage design, sewerage law, and best practice
- Deliver excellent customer service, building strong working relationships
- Support innovative, sustainable drainage solutions and keep up to date with industry developments
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality asset delivery
What does it take to be a Drainage Engineer?
- Degree or working towards a qualification in an Engineering discipline
- Experience working on sewerage infrastructure design or within another Water Company
- Knowledge of Sewerage Code for Adoption, DCG, and Sewerage Law
- Strong communication, planning, and organisation skills
- Ability to manage competing workloads and act on own initiative
- Excellent numeracy, literacy, and decision-making skills
