Are you passionate about fire safety and ready to make a real impact? Anglian Water is seeking a professional, authoritative Fire Risk Assessor to join our Health and Safety Team. In this pivotal role, you'll support and deliver fire risk assessments, provide specialist advice, and ensure compliance with UK legislation and standards. You'll work closely with managers, employees, and contractors promoting a strong fire safety culture, contributing to a cohesive strategy that reduces fire risk and supports best practice across all operational areas.
- Produce quality Fire Risk Assessments & deliver expert advice: Develop and review Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) aligned to PAS 79-1 methodology; undertake FRAs at Anglian Water locations, ensuring a consistent, quality assured approach supporting legal compliance.
- Provide timely, practical fire safety advice to managers, employees, and contractors.
- Influence and coach staff to embed compliant fire safety practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align fire safety controls and systems with company strategy.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Fire Safety and Health & Safety.
Driven and passionate about fire safety, able to work efficiently and effectively individually or as part of a team.
Qualifications in Fire Safety / Fire Risk Assessment (e.g. NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent). Able to demonstrate and apply knowledge of UK fire safety legislation (RRO 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022). Able to translate and explain UK fire safety legislation and industry best practice. Good MS Office skills and strong attention to detail. Membership of an accredited fire protection organisation (desirable). Valid UK driving licence.
