Dive into a world of opportunity, and join our team! We are looking for a Regulatory Programmes and Assurance Lead to join our Regulation team! This role will manage the delivery of regulatory programmes and assurance activities under the strategic direction of the Head of Regulatory Programmes and Assurance. You will support the Head in the delivery of major regulatory programmes and submissions, and to coordinate regulatory assurance activities across the business.

This role manages elements of delivery for complex, cross-functional regulatory programmes, including the Ofwat Price Review, regulatory investigations, responses to Undertakings and wider market reform activities. Working closely with teams across the organisation, the role will help to ensure that regulatory submissions are well-managed, evidence-based and supported by robust assurance processes. This role contributes to both the management of programme processes and the development of regulatory submission content, supporting the delivery of high quality submissions within demanding regulatory timelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Embed strong governance, quality and audit processes across regulatory programmes to provide confidence to senior leaders and programme governance forums
  • Support the implementation of the regulatory assurance framework for major regulatory submissions
  • Coordinate assurance activities to ensure regulatory submissions are accurate, timely and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage elements of the regulatory programme plan, including governance, reporting, risk management and assurance activities
  • Monitor delivery progress and provide regular reporting to the programme governance forums
  • Identify and manage programme risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where required

  • Significant experience supporting or managing complex cross-functional programmes or projects
  • Experience managing programmes or regulatory submissions, including planning, governance and reporting
  • Able to interpret regulatory or policy requirements and translate them into structured programme plans and delivery activities
  • Strong organisational and programme management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and regulatory deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, able to coordinate workstreams and present complex information clearly to stakeholders
  • Strong ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver complex, multi-disciplinary regulatory programmes to fixed deadlines
