We're looking for an Operational Performance Lead to join Anglian Water's Water Recycling Services business stream and play a pivotal role in shaping how performance is understood, challenged and improved across one of our most operationally critical areas. This role sits at the heart of our performance landscape, supporting senior leaders to turn insight into action. You'll be front and centre in shaping conversations on how we use performance information to manage risk, target interventions and inform strategic investment decisions - embedding the behaviours that enable a strong, accountable performance culture.
What you'll be doing:
- Business Stream Performance Insight & Intelligence
- Deliver high-quality, timely performance intelligence to Water Recycling leaders, with a clear focus on exceptions, risks and opportunities.
- Design and present performance information aligned to the Water Recycling Strategy and business plan.
- Provide clarity on data quality, confidence and assumptions to support effective decision-making.
- Monitor and report against key KPIs, thresholds and intervention plans.
- Propose and assess remedial options and their likely impact on future performance.
- Act as a trusted performance partner to senior operational leaders, challenging thinking and supporting evidence-based decisions.
- Work collaboratively with Directors, Leadership Teams and Business Partners to define clear, measurable performance metrics.
- Coach and mentor operational leaders to build capability and embed a sustainable performance culture.
- Act as the interface between Water Recycling and central Reporting, Systems and Analytics teams.
- Gather feedback from the business to drive continuous improvement in reporting and tools.
- Support strategic leadership activity aligned to organisational priorities.
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation and performance best practice.
- Role model Anglian Water values including accountability and collaboration.
- Maintain focus on outcomes for customers, communities, the environment and our people.
- Champion health, safety and wellbeing as a core part of performance leadership.
What does it take to be an Operational Performance lead in Water Recycling?
- Experience working as, or closely alongside, operational management teams.
- Strong background in operational performance management.
- Experience presenting performance insight to senior leaders.
- Lean or Six Sigma understanding with practical application.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance performance, cost and customer outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence to challenge constructively.
