Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum

Location: Huntingdon, occasional travel to Ireland

Working Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (flexible working opportunities available)

Are you a commercially focused HR Business Partner who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments? Do you have a track record of enabling business growth, leading organisational change and delivering people solutions that drive commercial success? We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to become the dedicated People Business Partner for Anglian Venture Holdings (AVH) – the commercial arm of the Anglian Water Group and Legal business unit.

Working closely with the AVH Executive Team, Legal business unit and senior leaders, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering people strategies that support growth, organisational effectiveness and business performance across a diverse portfolio of ventures and businesses. This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic decision‑making, support transformation and help create high-performing teams that drive long‑term success.

What will you be doing?

  • Acting as the dedicated HR Business Partner for Anglian Venture Holdings and its portfolio of businesses alongside the legal business unit
  • Partnering with Directors and Senior Leadership Teams to drive business performance through people strategies
  • Supporting organisational growth, restructuring, acquisitions, integrations and transformation initiatives
  • Leading and advising on complex change programmes, including consultation processes and organisational design
  • Supporting succession planning, workforce planning and talent development strategies
  • Driving engagement, performance and continuous improvement across the business
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across Finance, Communications, Legal and wider People teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Coaching and developing leaders to build high-performing teams
  • Supporting the people aspects of business acquisitions, integrations, transfers and commercial growth initiatives
  • Ensuring AVH has the capability, talent and organisational structure required to deliver its strategic ambitions

What does it take to be successful?

  • Experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a commercially focused organisation, with a strong understanding of how people strategies support business performance and growth
  • Proven track record supporting business growth and organisational transformation
  • Experience leading change management initiatives and complex employee relations matters
  • Demonstrable experience managing TUPE transfers, including due diligence, consultation, integration and post‑transfer employee engagement
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and operating at executive level
  • Strong understanding of employment law and people risk management
  • Experience delivering organisational design and workforce planning initiatives
