What Will You Be Doing as the Mainlaying Designer?
As the Mainlaying Designer, you will be responsible for checking, processing, and designing new water mains, diversions, and non-standard connections for development sites. Your role will involve carrying out site visits, creating technical drawings on CAD, and managing customer communications to ensure the smooth processing of each application from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:

Checking, Processing, and Technical Administration: Receive, check, and process applications for new water mains, diversions, and connections, liaising with customers to ensure all required information is provided.

Design and Technical Administration: Conduct site visits, design water mains layouts on CAD, and prepare risk assessments and materials lists. Calculate charges and provide terms and conditions to customers.

Post-Commissioning Processing: Monitor and process post-commissioning information, including payment of water mains and liaising with relevant teams for the next steps.

Commissioning of New Water Mains: Oversee the receipt of as-laid drawings, monitor fire hydrant installations, and issue completed drawings to customers and relevant stakeholders.

Customer Service: Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers, ensuring high levels of service delivery and prompt resolution of queries.
