Anglian Water is seeking a highly motivated and commercially astute Cost Control Manager to join our Supply Maintenance Delivery Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small team of commercial professionals and play a pivotal role in managing the financial performance of our Supply Maintenance Delivery programme.

As we embrace a new way of working, our newly formed Supply Maintenance Delivery Team is building a fresh inspection and delivery framework, embedding innovative processes, and forging strong partnerships with our partners. It’s an exciting time to be part of one of Water Supply’s largest capital programmes, where safety, efficiency, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of commercial performance, ensuring robust financial management and compliance across a key programme area. You’ll:
- Report on commercial and contractual performance to stakeholders
- Ensure accurate cost capture and allocation
- Maintain GDPR-compliant contract records and systems
- Drive improvements by challenging and refining commercial processes
- Produce and assess cost estimates
- Ensure commercial compliance and accurate cash flow forecasting
- Manage liabilities, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Oversee timely payments to the supply chain
- Uphold consistency in commercial procedures and documentation
- Support and develop your team to deliver with confidence and competence
You’ll also bring strong leadership and a collaborative mindset, helping to embed a culture of commercial excellence across the business.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of NEC3 contracts and construction law.
- Proven experience in a complex matrix team environment.
- Professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CIOB, ICE) (desirable).
- Relevant degree in construction or commercial management (desirable).
