What will you be doing?
As an Operational Administrator, you will provide essential support to the Fleet Manager, ensuring accurate reporting, analysis and administration across the HGV vehicle and plant fleet. The role plays a key part in monitoring fleet costs, supplier performance and maintaining compliance with HGV Operator Licence requirements. You will act as a central point of coordination between operational teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders, helping to ensure the fleet remains compliant, efficient and roadworthy.
Key duties will include:
- Preparation and analysis of fleet performance reports, including individual vehicle fuel, oil and tyre usage and costs
- Administration of fuel cards and management of bulk fuel bunkering facilities
- Monitoring, recording and reporting all fleet-related expenditure, including fuel, oil, tyres and maintenance
- Collation and auditing of completed daily walk-around vehicle checks
- Monitoring the closure of vehicle defect reports and escalating outstanding issues where required
- Supporting compliance with DVSA standards and HGV Operator Licence conditions
- Liaison with Operational Teams, Anglian Water staff, suppliers and members of the public regarding vehicle damage or incidents
- Working with vehicle repair and servicing suppliers to obtain inspection reports, service records and feedback
- Checking, challenging and authorising supplier invoices prior to processing
