At Anglian Water our values are that together, we will: The Integrated Maintenance, Repair & Development Services (IMRDS) Alliance is part of the Anglian Water network and is responsible for delivering and maintaining critical water infrastructure. We are seeking an IMRDS Training and Development Manager to lead the delivery of an efficient, customer-focused operational training programme across our Alliances.

Reporting to the Head of Programme Optimisation, this is a key leadership role responsible for onboarding, competence management, accreditation compliance and future capability development. You will lead a team of Training and Development professionals and act as the central point of intelligence for training demand, skills matrices, qualification renewals and workforce capability insight.

Using data, digital tools and stakeholder collaboration, you will ensure training provision is consistent, compliant, forward-looking and aligned to operational and regulatory needs. This role also plays a critical part in shaping future workforce capability through strategic planning, Resource Management, external benchmarking and strong partnerships with accreditation and awarding bodies.

You will lead and optimise the coordination of operational training and onboarding activity, ensuring all personnel follow the correct learning pathways aligned to skills, standards and accreditation requirements. You will maintain a single, accurate view of workforce competence across the Alliances, proactively managing renewals and compliance risks while providing clear performance insight and assurance reporting.

You will work closely with People Development, Operational Learning Teams, partners, SMEs and operational leaders to design, enhance and quality-assure training programmes, ensuring consistency, relevance and effectiveness across all Alliances. You will use data and forecasting insight to identify current and future capability gaps, inform workforce planning and deliver targeted upskilling programmes to address priority risks.

You will manage key external relationships with accreditation and awarding bodies, ensuring compliance with standards, monitoring sector developments and embedding emerging requirements into training pathways and planning. As a people leader, you will develop and motivate a high-performing Training Coordination Team, driving service excellence, continuous improvement and digitalisation.

You will champion Anglian Water's Safer Every Day culture, ensuring high standards of health and safety compliance across all training and coordination activity.
