Environment & Planning Graduate – Strategic Asset Management – Environment & Planning
Salary: £32,000
Start date: September 2026
Location: Successful graduate will be required to work from Peterborough office (Thorpe Wood House) with requirement to travel across Anglian Water region as required. Please note your placements may vary across the region and departments so flexibility is essential.

Your role
As a graduate in our Environment & Planning team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the environmental and planning aspects of major infrastructure projects. You’ll work independently and collaboratively to solve complex challenges, influence sustainable design, and support our long-term environmental strategy. Responsibilities
- Working closely with stakeholders including Local Planning Authorities, communities and key environmental organisations.
- Coordination and production of technical environmental and planning reports.
- Working closely alongside the design team to influence design and construction from an environmental and sustainability perspective.
- Assisting with the management of the environmental and consenting programme and budget.
- Assisting the Senior Environment Lead in developing and driving the Environment Strategy.
- Developing scopes of work for consultants.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams from multiple organisations.

- A degree in a relevant discipline such as Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, or a related STEM subject 2:2 or above
