This is a busy, highâinteraction role, ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, enjoys working with multiple stakeholders, and can come in and make an impact from day one.
What youâll be doing
As a Planner who is an expert in Microsoft Project, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of programmes and projects by providing robust, realistic plans that reflect operational reality.
- Developing, maintaining, and updating detailed plans and schedules
- Working closely with delivery managers, engineers, analysts, and contractors to ensure plans are accurate and achievable
- Managing interfaces between teams, identifying dependencies, and resolving clashes
- Monitoring progress, highlighting risks and issues early, and supporting effective decisionâmaking
- Providing clear, concise updates and reports to a range of stakeholders
- Supporting scenario planning and reâprioritisation in a dynamic delivery environment
This is very much a handsâon planning role, where priorities can shift and strong organisation and communication skills are essential.
Who youâll work with
You will interact daily with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including:
- Delivery and programme managers
- Engineers and technical specialists
- Operational teams
- Commercial and framework partners
Building strong working relationships and managing expectations will be central to your success.
What weâre looking for
We are looking for someone who is confident operating in a complex, fastâmoving environment. You will bring:
- Proven planning experience within a project, programme, engineering, or delivery environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using planning tools and systems (e.g. Microsoft Project or similar)
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities while keeping delivery on track
- Clear, professional communication skills
