Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to one of the UK’s most ambitious water infrastructure projects? The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Programme Quality Manager to support and enhance our project team.
What will you be doing as our new Programme Quality Manager?
Due to recent growth on SPA, the leadership of the quality function is being strengthened to ensure leading standards of quality assurance and control in design, delivery, commissioning, and asset handover. You will be a key member of the team involved in developing and facilitating the Alliance Quality strategy and plan, with the implementation of policies, procedures, and coaching to support project and delivery teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the development of the Quality elements of the strategy for SPA including detailed action plans and timescales, to implement strategic objects across the Alliance.
- Develop and deliver presentations and provide tactical oversight of Quality action plans and data to ensure continual improvements and change accordingly.
- Direct and advise on all areas of Quality management system compliance and any areas of concern taking immediate steps to rectify.
- Provide strategic direction, leadership, and guidance to the Quality Team to ensure alignment with Alliance goals.
- Set clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for the Quality Team members.
- Spend time on site promoting the Quality strategy with all levels of the workforce and leading by example.
- Utilise key tools such as AMS, PowerBI, M2i, Procurement ORMs, and various datasets (Construction Quality Inspection Report, Active Management Engagement, Behavioural Management Engagement, Positive Intervention, Non-Conformance Report).
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours:
This job might be for you if you have:
- A qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction (Degree/HNC or similar)
- Experience of producing, and delivering, required Inspection and Test Plans
- A knowledge of construction techniques in particular water projects
- Good understanding of Quality within the Design Process
- Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team
- A relevant Lead Auditor Qualification, and a CSCS competence card
- Comprehensive verbal and written communication ability
- The ability to be an active listener, able to negotiate and motivate others.
