Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to one of the UK’s most ambitious water infrastructure projects? The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Geotechnical Data Manager to support and enhance our project delivery team.
What will you be doing as our new Geotechnical Data Manager?
In this role, you will implement and administer the data management system in line with BS and company standards, creating and maintaining the management plan and project trackers.
Key responsibilities:- Implement and maintain the project’s data management system in line with BS 8574:2014 and SPA standards.
- Create and maintain the Geotechnical Data Management Plan, workflows, schedules, and trackers.
- Administer and maintain data repositories (e.g., SharePoint, MIDP) and database software (e.g., OpenGround).
- Oversee data manipulation tools (e.g., PowerBI, Excel, modelling software).
- Review and approve all incoming, edited, and outgoing data for the project.

- Educated to degree level in Geology / Geotechnical Engineering
- Knowledgeable of data formats (AGS, .csv) and associated software (OpenGround).
- Able to create and critique data management plans and trackers.
- Can undertake ground investigations and interpretations
- Competent in general geo-data management principles.
- Proactive and with a practical nature.
