Join Anglian Water's Strategic Pipeline Alliance as a General Foreman. Location: Site based at North Norfolk. Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to one of the UK’s most ambitious water infrastructure projects? The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a General Foreman to support and enhance our project delivery team.

What will you be doing as our new General Foreman?

You will work within the site team, supporting the Construction Manager and working alongside Engineers and Framework Contractors to successfully deliver and coordinate non-infra works within budget and programme whilst promoting a positive behavioural safety culture.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivery of site inductions, daily site briefings and safety briefings to framework contractor site personnel covering appropriate health, safety and environmental topics and ensure records of briefings are maintained.
  • Ensure that all works are properly planned and carried out in a safe and controlled manner and in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Coordinate vehicle and plant movements on site ensuring pedestrian segregation.
  • Promote a healthy safety culture on site, challenging behaviours and promoting good practice.
  • Coordinate deliveries of materials to site and maintain site security.
  • Support Construction Manager and Engineers in the planning of upcoming works, ensuring adequate labour, plant and materials are available to deliver the works in line with the programme.
  • Coordination of framework contractors’ construction activities on site ensuring interfaces are adequately managed.
  • Review productivity on site and support Construction Manager and Planner with programme.
  • Maintain adequate site records inclusive of daily diaries, quantities of works completed and photographic evidence.
  • Support Site Engineers with completion of Inspection and Test Records.

A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours…. We are looking for an engaged and passionate General Foreman who has:

  • Previous experience working in the construction industry, ideally within the water industry.
  • Experience of supervising sub-contractors.
  • An understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques.
  • Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Supervisors Card.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) Supervisors.
