Shape the digital future of water.

Ready to take charge of a system that quite literally keeps things flowing? We’re looking for an Enterprise Control System Lead to own, evolve, and champion a critical new platform that will control and monitor our new Strategic Pipeline – a huge infrastructure project enabling the diversion of water supply from wetter north regions to the drier south.

The role

You’ll lead a cutting-edge enterprise control system that drives monitoring, automation, and optimisation across a growing network of operational assets.
Think big picture strategy meets hands-on leadership—you’ll shape how the system works today and how it grows tomorrow.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning the performance, reliability, and future vision of our control systems

  • Leading a team to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable control systems

  • Driving data quality, automation, and smarter decision-making

  • Setting and maintaining engineering standards and best practices

  • Collaborating across the business to turn complex tech into real-world impact

  • Acting as the go-to expert and champion for all things

What you’ll bring

  • Strong leadership experience in a technical or operational environment

  • Solid understanding of SCADA/control systems and industrial automation

  • The ability to translate complex tech into clear, actionable insight

  • Confidence working across diverse teams and influencing senior stakeholders

  • A passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and digital transformation

Why this role?

This isn’t just another leadership role—it’s your chance to:

  • Build and shape a business-critical platform from the ground up

  • Influence strategy, standards, and future investment

  • Work on a programme delivering real impact on water resilience and sustainability

  • Lead change in a space where technology meets essential services

We’re after someone who’s curious, collaborative, and not afraid to challenge the norm—someone who can inspire others, bring clarity to complexity, and make big ideas happen. If this sounds like you then don’t hesitate to apply
