Shape Anglian Water’s technology future as a Digital Workplace Technology Architect. At Anglian Water, we’re driving digital transformation to deliver smarter, more sustainable solutions. As a Technology Architect, you’ll define and govern the architecture of our core platforms—ensuring they’re secure, reliable, and strategically aligned. This role is pivotal in enabling business transformation by providing clear standards, patterns, and frameworks that accelerate safe and compliant product delivery.
What you will be doing:
- Define and maintain Digital Workplace platform architecture blueprints aligned to enterprise strategy and target architectures.
- Embed robust governance in line with cyber security, data governance, and service operations policies.
- Design integration and interoperability patterns that connect platforms and remove silos across IT and OT environments.
- Enable self-service adoption through reusable frameworks, templates, and reference architectures.
- Own the Digital Workplace technology strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management—planning upgrades, replacements, and reducing technical debt.
- Monitor and improve platform health, performance, and observability, consolidating technologies where appropriate.
- Champion Health & Safety standards and continuous improvement.
What does it take to be a Technology Architect?
- Significant experience architecting and governing enterprise-scale technology platforms.
- Deep knowledge in Digital Workplace enterprise technology domain.
- Strong experience in integration design and interoperability across multiple technologies.
- Strong experience architecting and governing M365 products including Power Platform.
- Proven ability to embed governance, compliance, and data management in Digital Workplace platform operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience; relevant certifications desirable.
