Who are we? The IOS Contract is a 5‑year programme valued at approximately £444 million, delivering specialist water and water recycling projects. This role involves managing projects under the NEC3 contract suite, with a focus on Option E (Pre‑Contract Planning) and Option A (Priced Contract with Activity Schedule). The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and delivery teams to ensure robust management of contractual obligations and compliance with Anglian Water’s governance standards. The role is employed by Anglian Water and involves working in partnership with alliance partners Barhale, Kier, and MGroup.
What will you be doing as our new Senior Design Manager?
- You’ll form part of the Leadership Team and jointly lead the delivery of the AMP8 capital investment programme to achieve the business objectives, and be accountable for leading the engineering team and delivery.
- As part of the Leadership Team, deliver a diverse programme of capital investment projects, and grow your professional internal and external networks with a multitude of partners that form IOS.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours:
- Engineering Degree
- Experience of designing multi‑disciplinary capital projects within a design & build collaborative environment.
- Managing designer’s responsibilities under CDM
- Demonstrates excellence for business ethics, respect to others, enhancing our reputation, and integrity
- Demonstrates leadership in creating a collaborative working environment and addresses poor behaviours
- Engages with relevant stakeholders to drive delivery on time, with a particular focus on achieving obligation/regulatory dates.
- Provides leadership for challenging convention and the creation and implementation of innovative techniques.
