What does it take to be a WR Operations Manager?
- Transport Managers CPC – UK Road Haulage Operations (National)
- Significant experience in UK Road transport operations
- Experience of tanker operations, with experience of sewage sludge & or Biosolids collection & haulage operations an advantage
- Experienced in vehicle performance analysis including the compilation of performance reports to senior management level
- Proficient IT skills – experienced in MS Word, MS Excel
- A proven track record of leadership skills, being able to demonstrate, challenge and question performance results
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement or advancement and actively seek out creative solutions.
- Health & Safety qualification (i.e. IOSH / NEBOSH)
- Full manual driving license is essential
Key duties will include:
- Demonstrate visible safety leadership, encourage engagement and all-important, open, two-way conversations by completing active management, tracking observations and actions through the active management app
- Liaison with the WR Planning Manager with respect to Vehicle/driver/operator weekly performance monitoring
- Responsible for managing compliance with the Operator’s License with respect to the training, development & understanding of the operational team (including drivers/operators), and subsequent performance management to ensure compliance & or other tasks undertaken by the operational team
- Ensure that operations are carried out in an effective, efficient and safe manner to provide a service to our customers with availability in line with all relevant drinking water and environmental protection standards
- Work across the organisation ensuring our teams are aware of how their activities can impact upon compliance (i.e. Pollution, Water Quality etc), making sure that decisions are made to drive compliance across our process areas
- Working collaboratively both across the business unit and wider organisation to help the business achieve its goals and priorities
