What will you be doing?

As a Leakage Field Technician in Milton Keynes, your role is crucial; without you, our water supply would suffer and there would be a huge impact for our customers. We are looking for you to carry out a full range of leak detection activities whilst providing a first-class service to our customers. Responding to alarms and changes in statistical data, you’ll have a fully equipped van and travel to the areas within the water network where potential leaks have been identified in order to resolve them within agreed timescales. This is a reactive and proactive role; you’ll support with planned maintenance and be the first on the scene to repair unexpected leaks. Developing your leak detection skills every day, you’ll carry out sounding, correlating and using Enigma Correlating Noise Loggers to accurately detect water leaks on our network.

What does it take to be a Leakage Field Technician?

You’ll be enthusiastic, hardworking and ambitious with a real desire to drive your career forward. You’ll need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade A* to C including English and Mathematics and have a passion for hands-on work. Keen to learn new things with excellent customer service skills, you’ll be a good communicator with a desire to make a solid contribution to your team. Ideally, you will have previous operational leakage experience including leak detection, resolving customer supply pipe leaks, distribution and leakage repair; however, full training will be given. A willingness to work at nights and weekends is essential to this role.
