What you will be doing?
As a System Planner you will build relationships with stakeholders by identifying current and future catchment risks. You will use information from data systems, site visits and stakeholder workshops to provide effective resolutions by scoping solution strategy. You will also consider the right time to invest and acceptable levels of risk to ensure system plans provide a 1-10 year investment plan that considers business and regulatory requirements.
Key tasks include:
- Supporting Portfolio Leads in the management of the overarching investment programme.
- Leading a ‘system planning’ approach at a catchment level from ‘sink to river’ for priority high risk catchments.
- Ensuring system plans consider all assets and activities for the collection, transfer, treatment of safe, sustainable recycling of water and biosolids back into the environment.
- Analysing data to generate initial root cause statements, evaluation of risks and creation of solutions that manage risk both now and in the future.
- Leading workshops with various stakeholders to understand current and future risks and identify how these might be resolved.
- Working with key stakeholders and business experts to support regulatory requirements to produce Drainage and Wastewater Management Plan.
- Bringing together key stakeholders and capturing data from corporate systems and site visits to provide risk and cost information to support investment planning process.
- Ensuring system plans for priority catchments align with business strategies and regulatory requirements.
- Inputting relevant data to corporate systems to allow data and information to be used for benefits tracking and regulatory reporting.
- Supporting efficiency identification in the portfolio through place-based thinking.
What does it take to be a System Planner?
- Experience using Excel, PowerBi and C55.
- You must be a pro-active self-starter.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent Data analysis skills.
- Strong knowledge of the Water Recycling industry.
