Who we are
The Self‑Lay team support the growth of the Self‑Lay and New Appointments and Variations (NAV) market within our region. We are part of Development Services, helping to deliver new infrastructure including the installation of new water mains for housing developments, water mains diversions & reinforcements, service connections and metering. We are responsible for ensuring our customers are supported and have all the correct training and knowledge. This ensures their infrastructure meets our internal standards, protecting water quality and helping us to create sustainable assets for the future.
What Will You Be Doing as a Self‑Lay Project Co‑Ordinator?
As a Self‑Lay Project Co‑Ordinator, you will be a vital link between our Self‑Lay Providers (SLPs), NAV customers and internal teams. Working collaboratively with both internal colleagues and external partners, you'll support and monitor a wide range of construction and administrative activities across the full project lifecycle. You’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of Self‑Lay schemes, positively influencing Health & Safety, commercial sustainability, and customer satisfaction. Your focus on accuracy, communication and service will help ensure our customers receive a seamless, high-quality experience.
In this varied and fast‑paced role, you will:
- Provide a comprehensive end‑to‑end service for customers connecting to Anglian Water's infrastructure
- Manage and coordinate project administration in partnership with Project Liaison Managers (PLMs)
- Ensure all customer communications are professional, proactive and solution‑focused
- Support efficient decision‑making with a strong commercial awareness
- Monitor service levels, escalating issues where appropriate to meet internal and external levels of service
- Contribute to performance targets, including customer satisfaction and DMeX outcomes
