Location: Spalding

Pay: £19.30 per hour depending on skills with overtime available. Eligible for fuel and performance bonus.

Working Pattern: Rotating day shift over a 3‑week cycle. Average 12‑hour shift plus statutory breaks and standby rota. 4‑5am start times.

Job Type: Permanent, Full time.

About the role

Join our team as an LGV Driver in Operational Logistics. This role involves transporting waste products from our operational sites while protecting the environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid LGV driver’s licence with endorsements – Class 1 (C & E).
  • Fully completed CPC.
  • Hands‑on attitude, willingness to work physically and get hands dirty.
  • Reliable and safe driver with a solid driving record.
  • Team player, flexible and adaptable; work independently when required.
  • Passion for sustainability and waste management.
  • Good communication skills and polite attitude when dealing with customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely transport waste products between operational sites, adhering to all health & safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the central Operational Logistics office, local site managers and operators.
  • Maintain compliance by delivering sewage‑related by‑products to sewage treatment works, farmers’ fields, energy generation centres and the sewerage network.
  • Work at height without restrictions and complete required occupational health checks, maintaining three points of contact on a ladder.
  • Undergo drug and alcohol testing as part of safety commitments.
  • Perform manual tasks – lift and sort waste materials, ensuring correct disposal or recycling.
  • Promote sustainable practices on every job.
  • Maintain a friendly, professional attitude when interacting with customers and the public.
