Working in the Water Supply (Drinking Water) teams, this is the chance to restart your career with Anglian Water as a Process Technician Apprentice. Join our Water Services team and train to become a fully qualified Process Technician. You will play a key role to help make sure water is clean, safe, and reliable for our customers and communities. You will learn how to run and look after the equipment and systems that treat our clean water, so it is safe to drink, visit sites, spotting and fixing problems, and making sure everything is working as efficiently as possible. You will split your time between college and hands-on learning at our sites, helping to keep clean drinking water flowing to homes and businesses in your local community. This is a hands-on practical role working outside in a variety of weather; the work is varied, rewarding and at times challenging, but no two days are the same! Once qualified, you will join a 24/7 standby rota because your role is vital. We are very proud of our apprentices here at Anglian Water, over 87% of our apprentices are still working here at Anglian after 10 years.
What you’ll do:
- Day-to-day operational running of clean water treatment sites.
- Learn how to run and maintain the equipment and systems that treat drinking water.
- Visit different sites to check operations, spot and fix problems, and keep everything running efficiently.
- Work alongside experienced technicians and follow health & safety rules.
- Take ownership of your development and contribute to team success.
What we’re looking for:
- Maths GCSE (grades 9–4/A*–C); we can also accept Level 2 Functional Skills - predicted grades will be accepted if you have not yet completed your exams.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
- Genuine interest in the water industry and protecting the environment.
- Good communication skills and a team mindset.
- Willingness to work outdoors and learn new things.
