Fixed Term Contract – 6 months
37 Hours per week – Flexible hours between 6:30 to 20:00, including some hours on a Saturday when required to meet customer needs.

Your day to day activities will include:
- Obtain accurate readings from water meters
- Carry out meter exchanges – (Full training will be provided)
- Collect meter data
- Provide excellent customer service

What does it take to be a Metering Technician?
- Customer focussed individuals
- A professional image is very important - we will provide you with a uniform and van
- The role can be physically demanding as you will walk in the region of 3 to 8 miles per day.
- You will also use a handheld computer to carry out your work, so basic IT skills are required
Hours: You are responsible for organising your own time and have the flexibility to plan your own day to meet the meter reading targets. Working a 37-hour week. Your hours are flexible between the working window of 6:30 to 20:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays this includes early morning starts and late evenings until 8pm as this is when our customers are most likely to be at home.
