As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling secure, resilient and scalable digital services across Anglian Water.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, deploying and managing Azure networking services including VNETs, subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints and VNET peering
- Acting as the technical lead for cloud network implementation across projects
- Collaborating with Cyber Security teams to implement network security policies
- Deploying Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
- Supporting project and product teams by delivering secure, operationally robust cloud environments
- Monitoring platform health, performance and capacity using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Participating in incident response, problem management and root cause analysis
- Automating operational tasks to improve reliability and reduce manual effort
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation and standards
- Mentoring colleagues and contributing to a collaborative engineering culture
What does it take to be successful?
- Extensive hands‑on experience deploying and managing Azure PaaS and IaaS services
- Deep expertise in Azure networking and security
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Bicep, Terraform)
- Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI)
- Experience using CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning
