Responsibilities
- Designing water or wastewater treatment processes and sewerage/water systems in line with Anglian Water's goals and standards
- Undertaking process calculations, including hydraulics, unit processes, capacity assessments, and pump design
- Producing technical deliverables such as data sheets and process documentation
- Analysing and assessing third-party equipment through technical bid reviews
- Applying process safety principles, including LOPA and DSEAR, in all designs
- Collaborating with design teams to develop integrated 3D models and solutions
- Ensuring compliance with POSWSH and POSWASTE requirements
- Preparing technical documents that meet agreed standards, specifications, and timescales
- Supporting health and safety excellence by producing safe, compliant designs in line with CDM regulations

Qualifications
- A degree in water/wastewater process science, engineering, or a related subject
- Demonstrable experience in process engineering for clean water or waste water treatment projects
- Strong knowledge of treatment process design, modelling, and optimisation
- Experience with biosolids treatment would be advantageous
- Proven ability to apply process safety principles, including LOPA and DSEAR, in design
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and stakeholders
- Good IT skills and ability to use modelling tools where required
- Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail
- A relevant postgraduate qualification (such as MSc or CIWEM membership) would be beneficial
- Membership of a professional engineering body would be beneficial
