Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out routine maintenance and emergency responses on the water network.
  • Flush, survey, detect leaks, perform pressure and flow tests and operate valves using asset maps, data and tools.
  • Resolve both planned and reactive operational problems in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Liaise with customers and deliver high levels of customer service, keeping them informed and representing Anglian Water.

Qualifications

  • GCSE level (or equivalent).
  • Experience working in an engineering industry, preferably providing front‑line service.
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience with water networks, street works and leakage control.
  • Proven customer service experience and ability to explain technical terminology to the public.

Working Conditions

  • Field‑based role with a full‑equipped van for travel around the region.
  • 37‑hour week, flexible schedule, standby rota and occasional overtime (paid extra).
  • Works across Bedford, Leighton Buzzard & Milton Keynes.
