Overview

You are enthusiastic, hardworking and ambitious with a real desire to drive your career forward. You will need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C including English and Mathematics and a passion for hands-on work. You should also have excellent customer service skills and be a good communicator with a desire to make a solid contribution to the team.

Qualifications

  • Previous operational leakage experience, including leak detection, resolving customer supply pipe leaks, distribution and leakage repair (full training will be provided).
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends.
  • Full driving licence (required for company vehicle usage).
  • Ability to travel to work sites within the water network.

Responsibilities

As a Leakage Field Technician in Milton Keynes you will carry out a full range of leak detection activities whilst providing first-class service to customers. You will respond to alarms and changes in statistical data, travel to identified leak locations in a fully equipped van and resolve them within agreed timeframes. The role is both reactive and proactive; you will support planned maintenance and be the first on the scene to repair unexpected leaks. You will develop leak-detection skills daily, using sounding, correlating and Enigma Correlating Noise Loggers to accurately detect water leaks on our network.
