Are you ready to turn data into decisions? In this role, you will work proactively with stakeholders to identify opportunities for analytics to add value, using a business partnering approach. You will create compelling data visualisations using applied User Experience principles, translating complex data into understandable information for business decisions. You will combine datasets using coding languages and statistics, reverse engineer data models, and understand common data modelling practices. You will maintain product meta-data in relevant catalogues, regularly review products with stakeholders, and enhance or retire as appropriate. You will seek to understand how users are using analytics products, suggest and coordinate enhancements, and identify improvements to data management and quality assurance. You will collaborate across the analytics and data community, sharing knowledge and embedding best practices.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience of applying strong maths and IT skills to create analytics products.
- Substantial experience working with relevant data types (e.g., research, surveys, asset information, transactional work orders).
- Understanding of data modelling patterns and standards.
- Experience recognising the suitability of data for different purposes and communicating this to stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience of creating and communicating compelling data visualisations aligned to business goals.
- Intermediate coding for relevant toolsets such as SQL, Python, DAX.
