Help shape the future of Water Infrastructure. Join a team where people, partnership and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. Within the Anglian Water Pan Alliance, we work with 16 partner organisations to deliver a wide range of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, helping to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region through our commitment to Love Every Drop.
As we move through Asset Management Period (AMP) 8 - our most ambitious investment cycle yet - we're growing our team and strengthening our ability to attract, engage and support the people we need for the future. We're looking for a Recruitment Lead to join our Pan Alliance Recruitment Team. This is a people-focused role where you'll lead and support our Recruitment Coordination Team, while also delivering senior and specialist recruitment activity (small case load). You'll bring a curious data-informed and solutions-focused approach to recruitment, helping us keep our day-to-day operation running effectively while continually looking for better ways of working. If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, developing people, using data to understand what's really happening and bringing others with you through change, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
- People Leadership: Lead, coach and support a team of Recruitment Coordinators, creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing team environment. Set clear expectations, support development and provide regular feedback to help team members grow and perform at their best. Build resilience, collaboration and confidence with the team, encouraging people to take ownership and find solutions. Work closely with the Pan Alliance Recruitment Manager to align priorities, share learning and support the wider recruitment team.
- Recruitment Operations and Delivery: Oversee the day-to-day recruitment operation delivered by the Recruitment Coordination Team, ensuring consistency, quality and efficiency. Support the team with key recruitment activities including interview scheduling, candidate feedback, hiring manager feedback and other recruitment administration and processes. Monitor recruitment activity and identify issues or opportunities where additional support, intervention or improvement is needed. Work with the Pan Alliance Recruitment Manager to support recruitment projects, process improvement and new ways of working.
- Senior & Specialist Recruitment: Personally manage a small case load of senior/specialist roles, providing a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience. Use a range of sourcing approaches to identify and engage talent in challenging markets. Build strong relationships with hiring managers, providing advice and challenge throughout the recruitment process.
- Data, Insight & Continuous Improvement: Use recruitment data and MI to understand performance, identify trends and highlight areas for improvement. Monitor key recruitment measures and use insight to support conversations with the wider team. Be curious about what's happening behind the data - asking questions, exploring the cause of problems and finding solutions. Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, candidate experience and team efficiency.
- Champion safety, wellbeing and inclusion: Promote a strong culture of health, safety and wellbeing within the team and in line with Anglian Water and Alliance expectations. Create an inclusive environment where people feel supported, respected and able to perform at their best. Role model our values of Always Exploring, Build trust and doing the right thing.
What we're looking for:
We're looking for someone who is as comfortable leading people as they are solving recruitment problems. You'll bring:
- Proven experience in recruitment ideally across a busy, complex or high-volume environment.
- Experience of leading, coaching or developing people, with a genuine interest in helping others.
- Good recruitment operations experience with an understanding of processes that sit behind a great recruitment service.
- Experience recruiting senior, and or specialist roles using a range of sourcing approaches.
- A data driven mindset, with the ability to understand recruitment data, spot trends and turn insight into action.
- A naturally curious and exploratory approach with a willingness to ask questions, challenge assumptions and find better ways of doing things.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the resilience to work through challenges and changing priorities.
- A collaborative and inclusive approach with the ability to work effectively across a partnership environment.
