What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and deliver the Alliance's commercial strategy, ensuring commercial performance consistently exceeds expectations.
- Lead the commercial, estimating and contract management functions, building a high performing, collaborative and values led team.
- Provide strategic commercial advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, supporting key business decisions.
- Establish robust commercial governance, assurance and reporting frameworks.
- Lead contract management across complex NEC based programmes, ensuring effective management of risk, change, claims and contractual obligations.
- Drive commercial performance through effective cost management, forecasting, value engineering and financial controls.
- Build exceptional relationships with Anglian Water, Alliance partners and the wider supply chain to deliver better outcomes together.
- Lead the development of resilient, sustainable and high performing supply chain strategies.
- Champion innovation, digital commercial practices and continuous improvement across the commercial function.
- Foster an inclusive culture where people can thrive, develop and perform at their best.
What you’ll bring:
- Significant senior commercial leadership experience delivering major infrastructure programmes valued at hundreds of millions of pounds or more.
- A proven track record of leading commercial strategy within complex engineering, utilities, infrastructure or construction environments.
- Extensive experience of NEC contracts and commercial management across large capital programmes.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, contract administration, commercial governance and risk management.
- Experience operating within regulated environments and delivering successful commercial outcomes through collaborative delivery models.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at Executive, Board and partner level.
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional membership with a recognised institution such as RICS, CIOB or CICES (or equivalent).
