Senior Procurement Specialist

Salary Circa £55k - £60k, salary depending on skills and experience

Full time/37 hours per week/permanent

Location: Peterborough - Hybrid Working 2-3 days in office weekly

As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in planning, managing, and delivering a strategic pipeline of sourcing initiatives for major infrastructure programmes and projects. You'll lead on complex commercial negotiations, manage supplier onboarding, and ensure the delivery of maximum value to the business, our regulators, and our customers.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading the end-to-end procurement process for major infrastructure agreements, with a focus on NEC contract terms.
• Managing multiple sourcing projects and applying your strategic thinking to deliver successful outcomes.
• Engaging and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with public procurement rules and relevant legislation.
• Developing strong market knowledge and building effective supplier relationships.

What it takes to be successful?

• Minimum 5-7 years' demonstrable experience in infrastructure procurement, with a strong track record of NEC contract delivery.
• Substantial experience in a project-based environment.
• In-depth knowledge of public procurement rules and European procurement legislation.
• CIPS Level 5, RICS (or equivalent professional qualification) preferred.
• Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
